Update 2019-07-15
Added 2019-07-15 19:06:50 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
I have been quiet for a while since the release on my last video. I took a bit of a break with the release of Super Mario Maker 2 and have been playing it a lot, sometimes streaming on Twitch as well. I was in the Super Mario Maker 2 Invitational tournament organised by GSA yesterday.
That being said, I am about halfway done with the script of the next video, which is going to be more similar to the first one I made about SMB1, but this time about a WR in a different game. Progress has been slower than I wanted: the break I took ended up being a bit longer than it should have been, some family stuff (no problems, don't worry) is making my work environment noisier and distracting, and I must admit my energy for work is a little low at the moment, but this fluctuates and there is nothing to worry about.
In other news, my girlfriend is coming back from a 5-month student exchange trip to the other side of the planet in a little over two weeks. This means two things for video production: first, that I will try to finish up my next video before she comes back, which should be good news for everyone; and second, that when she comes back, we have 5 months to catch up on and a few weeks before her next semester starts, which will obviously slow me down in August. By September though, production will resume and I will hopefully output one video per month again, roughly.
I am also thinking of making an additional video to the SM64 1 Key TAS explanation that goes in a bit more detail with certain parts of the run that are interesting to learn about, as well as giving a more complete explanation of where possible improvements could be, and why the route as it stands can't really be improved unless something completely new is found. I might do that after this next video, or maybe I'll wait for later, I'm not sure yet.
Sorry for the lack of updates since the last video, but updates should be more frequent for the next 3 weeks!
