It would be a good time for a confession.... from a readers POV.... however, given the circumstances of all that he has gone through in the last day or so, it would probably be best to let things ride for a bit til on better terms. As much as Ryland would probably want to know what’s going on to help his new found friend/crush, by experience, having a confession in pressured moments could lead to worse times ahead.
