Even having read the manhwa, this episode did seem mid to me. I have never read the light, so I don't know if the story was told this way in there, but it felt a bit convoluted. As if they were trying to tell a lot and show a lot, so they don't lose the viewers...like they shouldn't need to rush and show us everything at once. We could have had this episode focussing only on the dungeon and have the second or third expand on the world.

2024-01-07 06:55:07 +0000 UTCI think they definitely mixed scenes of the light novel and manhwa to open up the world a bit more, since the majority of us only know the world from Jin-Woo’s perspective. Now we’re able to see things that we never saw before like the first Jeju Island raid. I do agree, if I saw this without any knowledge of the manhwa it would seem mid to me. I wish they had either moved scenes around or made this episode 40 minutes so the action can have time to breathe between the world building scenes.
