2023-05-01 05:59:58 +0000 UTCNot a lot of people pick up on this or just forget it completely but one of the reasons that zoro said “ nothing happened” during thriller bark is because if he acknowledged what “actually happened”, the promise him and luffy made when they met would’ve been broken due to zoro having to give up this ambition for luffy… but if “nothing happened”, then the promise was never broken. It just something I always thought about and picked up on and hardly anyone ever seems to notice🤷♂️ Zoro the goat

Zoro's dialogue in the manga said it a bit better: "Does this mean that even with so much haki being drained away.. Oden wielded you as though you were as light as a feather, Enma?'
