The last we saw was Thorfinn being man handled away from Askeladd's corpse as he desperately clinged to him. In the process losing grip of his fathers dagger signifying it's time to let go of the past. Leaving him in his current state empty. Looking forward to see if he can come back from this and it what new goal he'll focus on. I personally hope he can see his sister and mother. (I'm anime only btw)
