Definitely just a nice break from the war and all that. I just like the art style and Uta's singing. Fun Fact: This episode (and maybe the next 1/2 eps) are outsourced to a different studio. So Toei didn't animate these

2022-08-15 16:18:59 +0000 UTCDidn't see the trailer for the movie, so having been introduced to Uta in this way was out of left field. It's not because it's a filler episode but just the fact that Shanks has a daughter. Also, Uta calling her "dad" Shanks is weird. Either he is but estranged in some ways or they made a pact (like Luffy, Ace, and Sabo did) to call each other father and daughter. At first, I thought Luffy was going to meet up with her in present time somehow but if this is all to hype up the movie then I guess we won't see her? at least anytime soon? Idk. Not a bad episode though. I always enjoy seeing Luffy as a kid :)
