This show never made me feel like crying or feel sad for the main characters much. The first episode gave us the shock of people getting killed then the 2nd gave us more of their backgrounds. After that, I was just in it for the games. What they were going play? What new rules were being used? if any. Don't get me wrong, there were emotional scenes, especially in ep 6, but I didn't feel that attached to any of the main characters. Looking back, I think it's because I kept thinking that this was everyone's choice to play these games. After the first game, everyone who came back had made up their mind to continue playing the games. So because of that, I couldn't feel bad for any of them. They all chose money over their friends and family. Yes, it was for them and they were desperate but still, in the end, it was for the money. With that said, Ali was my favorite, even though he left his wife and kid to participate.
