It sucks and the problem is that it works. Look at Pokemon games. Absolute garbage release after garbage release with zero effort on the part of the developers yet people hoover it up and even defend it. They're not incentivized to put in effort because the fans will buy it any way. The only solution is to get people to stop buying slop but I'm not sure how to do that if an unending deluge of slop they're paying for isn't enough.

2025-07-02 21:55:16 +0000 UTCI'm not even a fan of Tamagotchi, but I am sick of popular brands thinking they can coast by with delivering less than the most basic product because people will just recognize the name and buy it anyways.
