A bit late, but I do think Denjiro is stronger, but I would not call Kie'mon's DF trash. For fighting, I can't think of any applications, but with stealth and infiltration as well as just general usefulness (it is so freaking cold, here have a jacket etc) I think it is pretty great imo. Then again it is no jacket jacket fruit:O

2021-06-30 17:53:46 +0000 UTCOda stated in an SBS that Devil Fruit users are susceptible to all types of water, not just seawater. This includes the white sea surrounding Skypiea. He elaborated on this, saying that "moving" water, like rain or waves, does not weaken Devil Fruit users, while standing water does. I just copy/pasted this from google but I'm sure it'll help :)

In about a 10 minute span they set off believing they are alone and have a spy. Learn the spy is back on shore then 3 massive shops come to take them out. Only to be shocked by Luffy’s arrival when they believed they were alone. Then Denjiro pulls up shocking them with the released prisoners and the trail of rebels that was at the correct port. So pile on these events it’s reasonable for them to react slowly and try to get momo back.

2021-06-24 14:41:33 +0000 UTCYeah. Devil fruit users only lose their power if submerged. It's how Luffy was able to use water against crocodile. As for Kanjuro being able to get away. Kawamatsu can't fight him full force due to him using Momo as a "human shield". Shinobu is still restrained by the snakes. Most of the samurai can't get airborne (and they can't exactly throw their sword since Kanjuro has Momo as a shield). And the ones present who can don't know Kanjuro is the traitor yet (hence why Luffy is asking "where are you going?")
