Entertaining combat and beautifully brutal visuals are marred by frankly baffling design choices and some glaring oversights when it comes to balancing gameplay across three different modes. Yeah I’m having fun with it, WITH friends. But the story missions suck if you do them single player. I had to retry that “defend 4 pillars” section a dozen times because the bots wouldn’t help me defend them. And they also wouldn’t keep enemies off of me. Basically had to do it perfectly because if you took a second too long you’d lose a pillar, or die to melee enemies.
