My take on why Oden said he made a good choice: Kaido says that Oden, 5 years ago, ''chose the way no one would be hurt.'' So in Oden's eyes, to the best of his then-knowledge, he did make a good choice. Immediatly after, he says ''Let's talkt about to future now.'' as to point out that there's no use in fretting about the past and choices made and what could have/should have been. There's just now and the future.

I can’t remember, but was her death actually confirmed? She had time to send Momo and them to the future, so couldn’t she have gone with them too? If she is not dead then she hiding out somewhere close by, leaking info to Orochi and Kaido. Conspiracy Theory #14 😂
