Starfield - Empty Spaces (Review)

I've made no secret of the fact that I am not impressed by Starfield, a game I find regressive, archaic, and insultingly bereft of imagination. Would you like a more detailed pummeling of the game? CLICK HERE for your wish to be granted!

Starfield - Empty Spaces (Review)

Hi, me again. I'm 50 hours in now and I'd like to retract my above statement and say that this is the the most half-assed game Bethesda has ever farted out. The first bunch of hours were great, genuinely enjoyable, but then I just started seeing repeated scripted events over and over, and every place I went to was the exact same facility full of the exact same Space Raiders. Past Me was a fool.

I burst out laughing when I saw that Destructoid gave the game 10/10, WOW Destructoid's standards have slipped into oblivion (ha) since you left them. Thank you for keeping it real yet again Stephanie, other video game writers may eager to lower the standards of what constitutes quality in gaming with perfect scores, but you know what shit is when you see it, and are not afraid to call it out. You are one of only a few voices calling the game industry out on its nonsense.

Honestly, I'm absolutely loving it, but it's also exactly what I hoped it would be: A Standard Issue Bethesda RPG in space. I know that it's not really doing anything new, but I kind of didn't want it to. I'm also not going to be a twat and respect that other people's opinions are different!

Should have replied here - the comments on your site are mostly insults - anyway - it has just dawned on me that I’m bored with the writing and skipping dialogue - then wondering why I’m not finishing the Outer Worlds instead. I’m also finding the Wild West in space trope uninteresting - space Wyoming. I may just revisit when it’s discounted and modding has progressed given the issue with game pass saves being locked in a weird format etc.
