Back 4 Blood - Left 4 Meh'd (Jimpressions)
Added 2021-10-16 15:42:48 +0000 UTCBack 4 Blood is basically a lesser version of Left 4 Dead, despite having way more content. Turns out personality is way more compelling than simply having loads of stuff.
Also, it's really annoying. And slow. And just not as good as Left 4 Dead.

The omission was probably on purpose, but I kept waiting all video long for you to mention Vermintide (2). Yes, it's not a zombie game, and yes, it has more melee than guns... but it still is very clearly "Warhammer L4D". And in my opinion it improves on Left 4 Dead in every aspect. Besides that: I had much the same feeling during the Back 4 Blood Beta/Demo/Whatever.

2021-10-18 09:57:02 +0000 UTCI think it was l4d where they specifically designed silhouettes of enemies to always be notably different. Other games should likely follow that guidance. It's important particularly for games like this.

Nevertheless, I was a little surprised you didn’t mention the always-online requirement, given that that is an issue you’ve talked about extensively in the past.
