I write erotica. I have lots of sexual thoughts and I'm quick to jump to dirty humor like "that's what he/she/they said." But that doesn't mean I'm going to go around forcing my sexual thoughts on others or sexually assaulting people. You can have perverted thoughts and not be a molester or misogynist. Everyone has a sex drive or libido, but just having a penis doesn't mean you go flashing it around to people who didn't ask for it.

I completely agree. I 100% suspect there was no intent behind it. I just want to get confirmation, because the idea that, however minute, Steph might conflate the two is weighing on me as I watch their videos. That, and people assuming Steph's views or intentions without confirmation or just asking is something I want to avoid being in the group of.

Suspect it was reasonably unintentional, I grew up in the UK at the same time as Steph and throughout the late 80s it was frequently deployed as a comparable descriptor. Hard to shift using terms that have been with you most of your life and whose various definitions are all skewed negatively (e.g. perverting the course of justice)

There are games like this where you don't have to pay tons of money every month. You can buy a game and play it. Maybe leave that horrible shitfest of a business model and find one of hundreds of other tank games?

I gotta disagree with you about the lowest scum on the face of the earth. Games that charge for ammo. I am sure that has nothing to do with tanks or ships or whatever even though those are the only games I can personally point to that do actually CHARGE FOR AMMO.

Upper Echelon did some further research into Wargamings Cyprus activities, there's some interesting stuff about money laundering connections that could interest you.

The thing that I find amusing is that this has been an issue since World of Tanks was first released they have always had premium currency + the random boxes and and the IRL money requirement is extortionate and always has been. My most recent complaints have been the removal of customisable tank commanders in favour of Barbie doll 3D character models along with the removal of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Tanks completely which is bad for new players and long term players like myself. Games like this are free to monetize however they want ( except loot boxes) but, 1, the pricing is extortionate and 2. They are removing content and features so.,. Where's the money going? It's not being invested in expanding the game 😡 Predation and Extortion!
