They don't have to win. A lot of people think that the holocaust was 100% supported by Germany. The reality is much worse. Only a out 35 to 40 percent were nazi members. Around 10 to 20 percent despised them. The rest didn't care. Many remembered the Russians in World War 1 and wanted a job. It didn't really matter that the job came from displaced people or that the Russians murdered and destroyed a lot of homes. The US is in exactly the same spot. About 35% of the US are diehard Trump supporters. Trump is the great white God. He is infallible and something to be worshiped. It isn't a cult but a religion and it is where conservatives have been going for about 400 years, maybe longer. Meanwhile, about 30% despise him. 40% don't really care. It isn't a moderate position so much as they are unaffected by policy and don't get much benefit from government. They sat by and watched at Jews were gassed and incinerated. They didn't really care about the outcome of the Civil War. They will not stop Trump supporters who will have kids and not go anywhere. They will continue to elect Trump clones and Trump is not an aberration but an outcome.

You had me at invader zim. Also, thinking about last week, invader Zim perfectly captures Republicans. These people are not going anywhere. I would also love for you to link the economic disaster of the last 40 years to the lowest fertility rate in US history. Our generation has 1.1 babies per age correct couple. That is due almost entirely to finances. Our generation gets two of the three, kids, an education, or a house. Not all three.
