Allegations, Exploitation, And The CEO Who Dreamed Of A Porsche (The Jimquisition)

Aeon Must Die! looks like a terrific game, and I always like to pay attention when Focus Home Interactive publishes something. Attention is something this game has a lot of, and not in a good way.

Limestone Games, the studio behind the game, has been accused by former staff members of crunch, exploitation, abusive behavior and outright crimes. This blew up before Sony's recent State of Play event, but has been forgotten about already by an ever-momentous news cycle.

We here at The Jimquisition, rather than forgot, spoke with the ex-Limestone team to find out more. So here we are!

Don't know where to stick this so will put it ... about here : https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-launches-call-for-evidence-on-video-game-loot-boxes#:~:text=The%20Government%20has%20launched%20a,or%20lead%20to%20problem%20gambling.&text=Loot%20boxes%20are%20in%2Dgame,players%20with%20randomized%20virtual%20items. and the actual form: https://dcms.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_ebuajScHCCzLoj3

This is almost like video games being explained by a video game. How meta!

I once worked at a place where I was told we were expected to have a "passion" for the job. That meant overtime was expected. It was the only time I got fired and didn't care.

Going off that intro... ooooh, nasty!

I would say that this is software at 75% of shops. It isnt even passion but general management incompetence. If you tell someone that it takes 8 weeks to build a house, you give them 4 weeks, dont complain that it doesn't have walls. If focus killes this project, it would have lost its investment. But really, we need to see unions and we need to have people put passion aside for money. This is a buisness and game developers need to treat it like one. If that means their project gets killed, that is a much better tradeoff than a breakdown. For more examples see teachers.

Jim, dont throw d6s .. d4s is where its at. The initial blow wont hurt as much but as they are being dragged along the cobblestones hitting one of those would REALLY smart.

Is there a G2A-like way to hurt these people? Some place to get keys for the game that fell off the truck?

Tommy Laukkanen

Jim being weird!funny at the start of an episode is a huge part of the draw for me.
