With an obscenely troubled development, a handful of failed promises, and a legacy of embarrassing headlines, Anthem will go down in history, but not for the reasons BioWare hoped.
It certainly won't be spoke about with the same reverence as Bob Dylan... which is what BioWare actually expected.

Just feed the hype enough beforehand, sell lots of copies at launch, maybe snag a few whales while doing that, and then when the game dies off, just start the process all over again with a different game.

Someone somewhere with an artistic vision originally thought of this game and wanted it to be great. Then EA's corporate execs got hold of that person's idea and re-worked it, changed it, and turned it into the game as a service it was published as. That's sad.
