2019-06-19 02:18:13 +0000 UTCThey mean in Gear 4, not the whole fight. There was no clash in the manga during King Kong Gun. Luffy literally smoked Doffy instantly. Even Gear 4 in general Doffy could literally do nothing to Luffy and was using his awakening to keep Luffy away the whole time. As for Doffy winning if he had been healthy, the same could be said for Luffy who had been fighting all day and literally let Bellamy beat him up without defending. At the end of the day everything happened because Oda wanted to have dramatic tension with the Birdcage.

2019-06-17 18:40:48 +0000 UTCUh he didn’t stomp Doflamingo the whole fight, maybe the King Kong gun in the end yeah, but don’t say he just stomped Doflamingo. I have no doubt in my mind a healthy Doflamingo would win that fight any day. He took some ridiculous damage before that fight even began, his organs were fucked. Luffy’s prior battle damage didn’t even compare to Doffy’s. Anyways, Luffy’s gear 4 might be physically stronger when you compare their strongest attacks but the fact that Luffy can only hold the form for so long would be his down fall, and to add on to it, he really couldn’t do much once Doflamingo revealed his awakened abilities, he could hardly get close to him. Doflamingo would easily outlast luffy and then absolutely destroy him once he lost Gear 4. (This may come off aggressive but that wasn’t my intention, I’m actually typing this pretty lightheartedly. I think the aggressive tone is probably just because I’m so sure about what the outcome would be if Doflamingo wasn’t as bad off as he was going in to that fight, sorry).

2019-06-17 06:58:42 +0000 UTCKing Kong Gun was the biggest fuck up in Dressrosa in my opinion. As you probably realised already Gear Fourth is like a spring. He compresses his arm/leg/head to generate potential energy, which makes him hit with tremendous force. You can't come and tell me Mingo stopped the initial impact and then Luffy somehow pushed with even more force than the attack originally had and still send Mingo to the ground at supersonic speed. That just doesn't make any sense and it was completely unnecessary. And I really hope no one brings the dumb "in between panels" excuse, because if Oda wanted a clash, he would've showed it.
