Randy Pitchford Is Poison (The Jimquisition)

I'd promise this is the last video I'm doing on Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford, but I can't guarantee against His Royal Weirdness doing something else screwed up that merits more.

Randy Pitchford's pattern of erratic behavior and continued aggression might have made him a successful YouTuber, but as a CEO of a corporation, as a man who personally goes out of his way to represent the brand, it's beyond untenable.

From Colonial Marines to Borderlands 3, whenever there's a controversy involving Gearbox, Randy is almost always in the middle of it. It's time he just... stopped.

Indeed, and few worse punishments could there be.

To quote Kryten from that episode of Red Dwarf where he acts as Rimmer's defence after being sentenced by the Justice Field; <i>"That is <b>his</b> crime. It is also <b>his</b> punishment."</i>

Yeah, I should amend that.

The fact this man has millions makes me more than a little sad about our world. But thank you, Jim, you cheer me up again by reminding me that in spite of his fortune, he's STILL got to live with being Randy Pitchford.

He's the CEO. I don't think there is any management there to make those decisions.

Time for a bit of Randybashing! :3 (which I fear might make Randy Pitchford sound remotely awesome or interesting outside of his blundering excuse of a career) What would Gearbox have to lose by convincing him to step down? What would he ultimately have to lose? Any claims he might make of being a company leader with any kind of workable vision for video games and long since lost all credibility. Gearbox management surely can conceive the obvious benefits of not having to constantly put out fires started by his multitudinous gaffs and acts of quite breathtaking incompetence. And I'm sure he'd be just fine outside the gaming industry. People like him always are. I'm certain he'd have more-than-enough-to-subsist-on severance pay if they did toss him out on his useless arse. He is a living, breathing manifestation of white "good old boy" entitlement. The scary thing about Randy's very publicized time in the CEO hotseat of Gearbox is that he has <i>drastically</i> lowered the standard of what being a "good" CEO is. Gearbox could hire an unsociable unemphatic sociopath to that position, but if he or she wasn't sabre-rattling over any old bit of internet drama that would make them, technically speaking, an objectively better CEO than Randy ever was or will be. He's a chocolate teapot. A canoe without a paddle. A condom dispenser in the Vatican. And that's the best case scenario for his reputation. Given the accusations levelled at him by that David Eddings chap, Randy is not only in danger of being (accurately) categorized as a dishonest, vindictive, problematic, toxic, manipulative "Prince Unelect" fit only to be rightly lampooned - he could soon be tagged as a legitimate scumbag. And a violent one at that! I may just be some grumbling prole taking a break from tending to my metaphorical turnips, but Pitchford has to go. For Gearbox's sake, and arguably his own. <b>EDIT: Before I forget, I'll blow you a kiss for that Red Dwarf clip of The Inquisitor-Rimmer-Mimic saying "liar!" :3 </b>

What the fuck is a Pranet (Pranit)?

INB4 People say they'd like more CEOs to be like Randy because "that would mean they're more real"....
