...so who's gonna tell them that they already reviewed Pokemon 2000....

I'd like to present a counterpoint to your listeners: NO MORE ANIME!

Fair enough, we will have to agree to disagree on how we see this particular collection of shorts. I respect the fact that you stand by your views, it's why I like your content 😎 I apologise for being a dick about it. Thank you for taking the time to respond directly 😁

Integrity? I don’t see the “beauty” you’re seeing. To claim I see something that I don’t would require a lack of integrity. I’m not saying you don’t see it, but this beholder’s eye doesn’t. I’m not going to pretend otherwise to please people, because I have integrity.

Jim Sterling

Yeah, the Halo story kinda fell apart after the games turned into yet another multiplayer-centric shooter. Halo 2 had an amazing story, and I'm pretty sure that the 'Great Journey' was the Covenant activating the halo-shaped weapons and erasing all life quite by accident while believing that they were physically going on a journey. Definitely a lie, in other words, and also a pretty decent allegory for modern organized religion :)

As a lifelong fan of the Bungie era Halo games, it was really refreshing getting a couple of non fan's view of the franchise. I wasn't cringing at any lore misconceptions, it was really interesting getting you guy's take.

That's spooky; I literally watched Legends yesterday.

I sadly never got around to reading all of the books as I became unable to read paperbacks and ebooks are too easily to get distracted by all the apps 😂 As for your comment, I am surprised that a Halo Fan failed to see the beauty in these shorts 🤔🤨🧐

As also a former halo fan, (I called it quits at Halo Reach) I agree almost entirely with Jim and Conrad's opinion on this collection. I think it's so so at best. Spartan 1337's segment is the most entertaining, the Arbiter samurai bit is visually painful to watch, and the rest are mostly dull. The only thing I liked about the last segment is the feeling of "Hey, I know these characters from the books. Neato!" To each their own.

I feel like you guys already did Poke'mon 2000. Should be the one unknowns next.I didn't see that one so I don't remember the title and can't be bothered to look it up.

Craven

I loved Halo Legends.

Whilst you are both entitled to your opinions, as a former Halo fan (Halo 5 ruined the franchise not to mention the absolute shoddy adaptation of Halo: The Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund into a abridged animated story) but, you are both talking out of your arses. Halo: Legends was a fantastic collection of shorts made by fans in multiple different art styles which I find to be fascinating and unique save for the Animatrix collection which, I also like. The fact that Bungie and 343 didn't maintain the extended universe lore which, they approved, is fucking awful! The main reason I am speaking up in defence of this is that from the outset, you gloss over or ignore the beauty of this collection and I have heard you talk about artistic integrity so... 🤷‍♂️🤨🤔🧐 WTF Mr Stirling?
