It's time to check out Ni no Kuni II, a good game that sadly lives in the shadow of its excellent original.

At least this one doesn't yell "NEATO!" every two minutes.

After this video I practically just got more depressed. I signed up on steam at the beginning of green light after converting from console games to PC due to the modding community for Morrowind through to fallout 4. I saw in a slow gradual sense that Steam was turning into Sony and nothing but junk was getting uploaded and trying to find anything decent was becoming pointless. I was finding more and more rubbish like and or similar to life of crappy tiger on Steam. Now I am looking for a new digital market that is on PC that has better quality control and better indie games. One game I fell in love with that I did not hear about til I watched Yahtzee on you-tube reviewed called FTL Faster Than Light, I had not heard about till then. In fact many of the games I have now are due to coverage either from Yahtzee crowshaw or Jim Sterling thank the great gods for him. After watching his videos and his fight against AAA and shitty devs on steam. I feel boxed in between buying shitty AAA games, and cash scam devs on Steam. I want decent or great indie games to play on my PC not Micro loot scams from AAA or non functioning boring Indie crap from shitty devs. If i want soggy doughnuts from Steam im better off with AAA. But I wanted more games like The forest, FTL, Star Bound, Rim World, and Birthing of Issac which I didnt know about til Jim covered it. Even great games like Kirble space program, or like Stellaris from Pandora. I even went back to console and now play games on Switch because its so much better I have Doom for switch, Bayonetta 2, mario Kart, and more because its vastly superior, its ironic and honestly poetic justice that now steam is gonna decline and lose out. I hope to all the gods in the universe a Competitor will move in on this schisse from steam; and create a brand new digital market that is properly overseen and only brings up games worthy of notice. I am tired of not finding anything note worthy, to where the only way Ill buy a game is if Jim sterling reviews it, Thank Zeus for the mighty Jim Sterling.

Basically, the first Ni No Kuni is Guardians of the Galaxy and this game is Guardians of the Galaxy Volume II. Everyone loved the first one and has most likely rewatched it a bunch of times. The sequel is good and worth the watch, but doesn't live up to the first one.

The first one was fun but had some scaling problems. Some of the mechanics required thousands of hours of combat, which was kinds ridiculous. But the story was grand and well animated. Some of the puzzles suffered from ‘find the roght word’ which would block you if you typed the right word ever so slightly wrong. And many of the initial reviews were based on a pre-set adventure not in the release game.

I'm surprised you liked this one less than the first. I had always heard the first one wasn't well received.
