Perhaps the most easily predicted Metabomb of all is finally here.

You should publish your reviews without spaces or punctuation, and then charge extra (per-paragraph) for the cosmetic fix that renders it in standard English.

One thing that gets missed in all this mictotransactions controversy is this: Many ill-informed users seem to feel that saying “If you don’t like the microtransactions, don’t buy them! You can still enjoy the rest of the game!” is perfectly acceptable. It’s not. It’s gone from “They’re just cosmetic items, they don’t affect gameplay” which was, at the time, innocuous. You couldn’t really argue about it; they’re right. They’re only optional and didn’t affect play. Fair enough. To now, and look what a fucking mess we’re in. I was saying, back then, “hell no” to microtransactions and I’ve actively avoided any game that has included them where ever possible and where ever I knew about them. But, here’s the issue with people saying “just buy the game and don’t buy the microtransactions”. That’s what some of you were doing since day one and look where we’re at. Publishers know how many sales they get per game. Let’s pull a number from my orifice and say “LootBox McCrateyFace ’17” game sold 12,000,000 copies. But, only 250,000 people are buying the microtransactions. Publishers are sitting around their meetings rooms with the agenda on a whiteboard that now reads “How can we sell more shit to the other 11,750,000 players?” and sure enough “LootBox McCrateyFace ’18: LOOT EDITION” now places way more emphasis on selling skins, crates and whatever the fuck else they’re pouring into the mould these days. By still buying the game, but refusing to buy the microtransactions stuff, you’ve become a statistic that the publisher wants to use in conversions. Both buying games with MTs and not buying the MTs, or buying the MTs, you’re part of the problem. TL;DR? Buying a MT laden game and not buying the MTs encourages the publishers to get creative in their ways to get you to buy the MTs.

This is basically ALL I've heard from people condensed into a single review.

I really hope that this game bombs on release, along with battlefront 2.

I've decided to wait until it is in a Steam sale for $20 or so (even if it takes a year), and there is no way I'll do even one microtransaction. I figure $20 is about right for an otherwise good game that has been intentionally crippled.

"Wea2boos" must be an attempt at "weeaboos" - Americans who love any kind of Japanese aesthetic. I'm guessing they mean the retooling of Shelob is service to anime fans.
