Great episode really gave me a laugh this Monday morning. I saw a guy at Target trying to get one for his son and sure enough just like you said the Target employee said sorry we sold out this morning because we only received 2. This is why exclusivity is bat crap crazy, it stagnates new ideas and general advancement/refinement in everything all the while stagnating the flow of information and turning the market into a swamp.. Open up IP and give the IP owner a default 30% cut of any revenue made off it and turn trademarks into manufacturers stamps with the who/what/when/where info in them so people can support who they like without the suits and lawyers Jerry-rigging the market via artificial means. IE if you are not making revenue then you are exempt this means have page ads and donation ads,ect you have to pay up most of the time, but the technically you can have donations and ads on the home page, can't talk about donations in the content if you want to bypass paying up, fair use and public domain would be still in effect but anything making a profit would be more targeted than dancing babies and bad music/video mix tapes.
