The Jimquisition: Aliens: Colonial Marines - Game over, Randy!

Randy Pitchford recently boasted about avoiding a lawsuit regarding Aliens: Colonial Marines. Whether or not Gearbox Software should have been sued for it is irrelevant - Randy has never explained himself nor the lies told, and never said sorry.

In this quick-to-forget industry, Gearbox Software may be sitting pretty comfortably, happy to have wriggled out of trouble for one of gaming's shameful releases. For some of us, however, it's never game over, Rand. It's never game over.

Don't listen to the people tired of hearing of Aliens. The stuff behind it still has MUCH relevance.

Since you said "fallout" once and Fallout 4 is on it's way, how about we talk about "Fallout" 3 and what a betrayal it was to the series. Plenty of people still remember the retarded roller coaster of rubbish writing and poor world-building. I'm not that good at remembering stuff, but that's why I make lists.

I'm honestly surprised they dodged the lawsuit. I guess if you throw enough money at lawyers you can avoid anything. New to the Patreon thing, but honestly I've been enjoying the Jimquisition for so long it feels like it was long overdue. Thank god for Jim Sterling.

The dildo came baaaaack! :D

I work in software*, another industry with an institutional memory short enough that it would make a goldfish feel pity. I have to wonder if there's any relation or correlation between the two. * Not games. I will never work for a games company, at least not a large one. I did have one opportunity to take on some work from a little firm that's a bit west of the void that exists between DC and Baltimore. Everyone on the consulting firm's team treated it like a hot potato, passing it around the room while hoping someone would take it. I didn't take it, and judging from the grunts I heard from the guy who did, I'm glad of it.

I'm surprised you didn't use AJ's "YOU F***ED IT UP!" line - it summed up A:CM perfectly. >.<

The worst part to me is that if he had just said something along the lines of 'Our E3 demo was heavily scripted and it was what we were shooting for. We weren't able to deliver a full product on that level, and on behalf of my team I'm sorry.' things wouldn't be great, but they would be a good deal better. Also...god, I forgot he actually said that about the WiiU version that never came out.

Id say you just handed Randy his ass.
