The Jimquisition: The Splatoon Straw That Broke Amiibo's Back

The scarcity of amiibo in the U.S. and the U.K. is really mindboggling to me. Every store you walk into here in Australia has had an abundant amount of them. Not just with the Splatoon figures, but with a whole bunch of the Smash Bros. ones as well. Did they accidentally ship the stock that was meant to go to other countries here? It's all a little strange.

Hmm, you rant/call shenanigans on Nintendo's amiibo game and Chibi-Robo gets an amiibo packed in with the physical game? Is this a sign of things to come? Have the heavens granted The Jim another win? ...Or is it a sad ploy to draw people to a less popular character in their stable. It was called a "bundle" which means there may be bundle-less copies that will likely be a LOT more available.

I got all 3 for $29.98. Seemed like a good deal, by the way they are the best looking sexiest amiibo. I have not tried the DLC content. When I do try the content I will think of you Jim. Jim serious question, even in Japan scalpers are ruining the pretty things in life. I want the Fire Emblem If special edition with art book and all 3 versions of the game but guess what... I can only buy the Amazon edition on Amazon from a scalper.. How can Amazon allow these people to buy preorders and then resell them on their site? Maybe you could look into that instead of just blaming Nintendo? I am not defending Nintendo at all> Just find that the problem is the retailers selling in mass to scalpers and then allowing the scalpers to sell products that they currently dont own at an inflated price.

Oh and just imagine how much those Wolly Yoshis are going to go for!!!! Already at $35 in Japan! Jim we can get you the Amiibos from Japan if you really want them.. GO on just one more hit... You will like it....

Like the easy solution that wouldn't piss people off would be to just have the stuff the amiibo gives you as a DLC at a slightly lower price. So people who get the amiibo get a nice thing with it, people who can't find them can still get it too. It'd be pretty win/win for everyone but the scalpers.
