It means the game was given to him by the publisher. It's standard in the industry, or reviewers would be broke trying to keep their jobs. :)

When it says "Copy supplied by publisher" on the actual review on the site, does that mean that a copy of the game was supplied by them, or the "copy" (old newspaper term meaning the article/review itself) was supplied by the publisher? I'm probably reading too much into this, but with all the blah blah blah about game review integrity I just wanted to be sure. Also a Patreon supporter of Jim and Laura so I'm a fan boy, not trying to start something, genuinely just asking for clarification, another reason I'm posting it here and not on the public facing on the main site. Thanks God for Jim Fucking Sterling Son!
