It's been a while ^^'
But since the story was following its course, I felt like reserving myself for when things evolved a bit, so here we are =)
I hope Dryda's venom injection will reinforce Fin's body, as it seems to be hinted.
It is his weakest point in this iteration, since he grew up with the limited resources of the Layers.
It should help him be just steadfast enough to stay proactive.
Also, despite Dryda's apparent commitment to faithful monogamy, I could discern among the possibilities a more open relationship between her & Fin.
Let's be clear first, she would ultimately stay at Fin's side. If there is one thing among all she has that stand out, it is her obsessive willpower. So even with what I'm about to suggest, I cannot envision her following in Maggie's steps (or if she does, then no one is ever safe in the universe).
But since she already allowed Fin to have a partner before her, and she was quite surprised by the sensations, she could at some point (most likely with Fin's consent) physically try other partners as well.
At best, it could even evolve into a committed cuck & cuckquean relationship between the two, each getting off in the other's flings.
Just a thought.
I am extremely happy to see some evolution within Malik.
I hope that everything going on, from Maggie poising herself as a true significant other, to him questioning his usual modus operandi, could lead us to better understand the guy.
Because that's the point I still struggle the most with. I need to understand why seemingly despicable characters do what they do in order to accept them.
Sam for example, is extremely greedy. He will break everything in oder to get what HE wants. Pretty simple once you wrap your head around it.
But Malik, I cannot properly fathom his true goals. And thus I cannot justify his actions in my mind.
Maggie being a blank slate in Turais should help in that regard, since she'll need a lot of explanations.
And the changes themselves should allow for very interesting interactions down the line.
Also, while I suppose Fin & Maggie were still in the very awkward phase following a split up that no one is truly responsible for, I do not see any reason for the two to really drift apart.
Their friendship was never in question.
And while I liked Dryda putting Maggie in her place a bit, it was warranted that Fin would appease the exchange.
It could even lead to Malik sticking with Fin without any further motive because of her. And the interactions could continue to pleasantly evolve.
