Part of it was playing into tropes that I knew would play well, but another part of it is just trying to have fun with it. Treating it a lot like an Omake. But you're correct.

Maybe Im misremembering but I feel like the first Kara was much more put together, this Kara gets flustered all the time, like a poor schemer, and the Hero is is doing a bit the while time it feels like Konosuba maybe? Kara is Aqua and Teuta is Darkness. I know it’s a publisher series so maybe that was the direction dictated. It just seems strange to see them act like this, not that I particularly mind just wondering if i’m going crazy and imagine things 🤯
