Charli sat up from the bench and wiped himself off with a nearby towel. He sighed contentedly. “Good work today, Charli.” The large Dog commented to himself. The Academy was severely deterministic; based on one's ability to bring about their own progress. Among those in the Academy Charli was quite adept at achieving personal gains, but anything else seemed to be more or less a dead end. The Dog was barely getting anywhere socially as he was a perpetual underling. Rightfully so. He was quite happy about that fact.
“Hm?” The Beastfolk caught a glimpse of a familiar sight. A perky rear, bronze skin and a cute little tail with long dark ears shooting straight up.
“Merit?” He was curious, because she should essentially be either by Jace's side permanently, or permanently running errands for him. Self improvement was not on the docket for her anymore. He threw his towel over his shoulder and stood up to approach her. As she began walking away he followed her. He caught her perky rear slipping behind a corner at each bend, just out of sight.
“Merit!” He called out.
“What?” Came a familiar voice behind him. He became startled and turned quickly to see the curious expression of the girl he was chasing. Her head was cocked to one side. Her eyes were wide and unblinking. It was unsettling.
“I was just...” He glanced back at the bend. It was the wrong turn for her to have been transported anywhere and behind him was a straight away, anyway.
“Following? Wait, what? You were-” He glanced back and Saw Merit leaning comfortably against the wall. He looked back and forth to see both of them on either side of the hall, surrounding him. Charli's canine ears drooped passively.
“Is this a prank? Jace? Where's your Master and why are there two of you?”
“My Master is close.” Merit offered vaguely.
The Merit that he was following began to slowly close the distance, her hips swaying as she walked. “Mine too.” She added.
“Okay? Where is he. What's going on?” Charli chuckled nervously, attempting to defuse the perceived tension. Merit gripped Charli's left wrist from the front with both hands while Esther reached out and gripped his right from the back. They each pulled themselves close to him, causing the Dog to blush, then as they had a solid hold on him they worked as one to sharply pull him down onto his knees.
“Hey! Bad girl!” He remembered there were two and glanced back to add.
“Girls?” He effectively could not move. One Beastfolk woman was simple enough to handle. Two, even with his large body was simply too much leverage for him to overcome. The sexes were already not particularly unbalanced, so being outnumbered was of course bad. Merit leaned forward so that his face was comfortably placed between her breasts, while Esther curled his arm behind his back and nuzzled up against that. It seemed affectionate, but the large male was being effectively smothered and locked in place.
He could barely turn his head while caught between Merit's breasts, so it was nerve wracking to hear the tapping of footsteps approaching calmly from down the hall.
“J-jace? What's going on?”
“No. Wrong.” You uttered.
“Guess again.”
“Wait... It's you?” Charli snorted derisively.
“I thought you were polite to Humans?”
“Not all Humans are created equal.” Charli explained.
“Sister and I agree.” Merit said with a wide smile.
“Some are simply better than others.” Esther added.
“See?” Charli chuckled.
“Face it. You got outclassed. You should just join Jace. We'd be bros.”
You stared down at him curiously. “Serious? You actually believe that?”
“Of course I do, dude! I got nothing against you. You're just going against my Master... We should be working together.”
You exhaled softly. “You're serious. It's almost endearing. If I joined Jace's gang I would be done.”
Charli scoffed. “No... You'd be an underling. Like me and we'd be friends.” His tail wagged as he said that.
“It's actually kind of cute.” You mused.
“Thanks! Now tell me what's going on, here... Merit and...”
“I'm actually Esther.” The one behind him claimed. You could see the wheels in his head turning.
“I don't get it...” He admitted.
“Okay.” You smiled gently and knelt down beside him. You waved a big, thick injector in front of his face.
“So what I did to them was, I ambushed them and injected them with this. Their bodies...” You laughed.
“Get this, their bodies basically 'puked' out their souls, essentially. They were just puddles on the floor and from what I understand, it was not fun for them. I think their empty shells are still laying in a bathroom somewhere, unless someone found them and disposed of them. Anyway, I collected what was left of them and put them into bodies that I like. I brainwashed them and crushed their spirits. Repurposed them into things that were useful to me.”
Charli's right ear drooped while the left that you were speaking directly into continued to stand up and twitch. As the Dog stared hesitantly at the injector he whimpered softly like a scared animal.
“Can we talk about this?” He asked weakly.
You smiled and scratched his ears affectionately. “Of course we can talk, Charli. Talking is always an option. What is it?”
“I-I'm really sorry. I get that it hurt you but I really didn't mean you any harm. I just needed to take everything from you so that you could stop being a threat to Jace. Then we could actually start being friends. I really didn't want anything bad to happen to you...”
“Wow! How sweet.” You Said sarcastically.
“Such a sweet, good boy you are, Charli.”
His tail wagged until he picked up the sarcasm in your tone and the maliciousness in your expression. “W-what are you gonna do to me?”
You spun the injector lithely in your hand. “Well, Charli. I'm actually the same! I don't want anything bad to happen to you. I just need to take away everything from you so that you can stop being a threat to me and we can be friends.” The Dog's lip quivered as he watched the injector move closer and closer to his skin.
-
The Dog opened his eyes and gasped. It felt like a nightmare. He lifted his hands to his face to rub his eyes and immediately made note of something.
“Soft...” He gasped and felt his throat nervously. The apply was still there, though it was small.
“S-soft.” He repeated, finding that his neck was much thinner. He shuddered and stared down to see lithe limbs and a tiny pecker and balls. His muscles were non-existent. Even his innate strength as a beastfolk had mostly been diminished, though he still had a pair of cute fuzzy ears and a tail that curled up and wagged low and slow as he took everything in.
“My body...” He yowled.
“What's wrong?” You questioned with a cocky smirk. You placed a hand on Charli's back, causing him to flinch. He turned and stared angrily.
“You!” He barked.
“You did this! Why...” His eyes became misty and he considered lunging forward, but his body was eclipsed by yours. He was a few inches shorter, which was a downgrade already from the foot or so he had on you before. His muscles were gone and had instead given way to a very small, feminine body that still mercifully carried some masculine traits. Although those were now pathetic compared to yours. You made sure of it. When he realized the different in power he furrowed his brow and held back, choosing to whine instead.
“I worked so hard.”
You cocked your head and stared sympathetically at him. “Charli... Is this 'good boy' behavior?”
The dog shook his head submissively. “No, but-”
“Who is the human, here?”
He looked up, his piecing blue eyes staring into you. “You are.” He admitted.
You smiled as you saw his hesitance and defiance. The way his eyes bore into you. “Charli.”
“Yes?”
“Between myself and Jace. At this point, who do you really think could do worse if they really wanted to? Are scared of Jace?” Charli shook his head lightly.
“Look around.” You prompted. Charli's eyes widened as he took in the nightmare that was the lab. The dome of wires and tubes that twisted and shimmered like intestines. The organ-like structures within. It was not just like he was abducted into a wholly different world, because he was. The dog's ears drooped. He began to shake and whimper at the display. After a few moments he slid off of the table he sat on and knelt on the floor. Then he brought himself even lower onto all fours. Then he pressed his head against the floor with his rear up, shaking. His tail was curled forward between his legs tellingly. You inhaled deeply and stared down in satisfaction at your conquest but knew that it could not be wholly out of fear.
You got down on one knee in front of the shuddering Beastfolk and stroked his ears. Scratched him. You rubbed his back and finally offered.
“It's okay. You know now, right, Charli?”
“Y-yes Master.” He agreed timidly.
You pulled the newly drafted femboy up into a tight embrace, still stroking his head gently. “You are mine now.” As you showed extreme dominance mixed with some mockery of nurturing his tail gradually began to uncurl and wag slowly. He leaned against your body and sniffled. You directed his head up so that he was staring at you again. This time his gaze was far more subservient, like he had already given up. The breaking had been done but you knew that was not enough. You had to build something on top of what had been torn down.
“This body isn't a punishment. It's an opportunity.”
“Huh?” He seemed confused.
“I want you to improve all over again. You will shape your progress and usefulness around what I want. What I need.” You could tell his little Dog brain was being overwhelmed by the request. He was salivating.
“I get to be... Shaped to serve you?” You chuckled internally, noting that he really did say 'get.' Humankind had really done something quite nefarious to the Beastfolk Species known as 'Dog.' While they were already quite friendly and easy for humanity to get along with, the nature of your kind meant that nothing good could not also be corrupted or made better. It was no simple coincidence that Dogs were both the most common and the most favored to humans among Beastfolk. They were conditioned over hundreds of generations to the point where they craved to be used, commanded. They wanted to be given a job and to do it to the best of their ability, in fact they seemed to become far more rowdy when they were not being controlled or directed in some way. His tail wagged happily.
“Just tell me what I need to do, okay? Charli is very, very good!”
You gave him an affectionate pat on the head and grinned widely from ear to ear. “Good boy, Charli. Such a good boy...” You stood up and turned to regard the elf. His eyes were wide with fear. His mouth was gagged. He was flanked by Merit and Esther. Each had a hand on his shoulder.
“The... 'Strategist?' The Coda. You guys don't often join groups I'm told.” You pulled the gag out.
“Charli! Help! Don't listen to him!” The Elf, the second member of Jace's close inner circle, was already quite twinkish and had medium-length brown hair. He wore glasses and the Coda uniform that identified him. He watched in despair as Charli sat passively without moving.
The Dog smiled and said cutely with his head cocked. “Sorry! Can't. Charli's too good to fall for that.”
You glanced back at Charli, then returned to stare down smugly at the Elf. “You heard him. He's way too smart. But not you, surprisingly. I would've taken you for being way more intelligent than you're acting right now.”
“I'm stupid for not surrendering to evil?” The Elf spat.
“Evil? What's Jace?”
“Jace is ambitious and he's a creep, but he is not evil.” The Elf insisted.
You counted off on one hand. “Familiarizing my mentor, a teacher, and taking and brainwashing my friends?”
The Elf sneered. “You haven't done any of that? Worse?” He motioned towards Merit, Esther and Charli.
“Jace works within the schools confines to do whatever he needs to to try and WIN. That is what you all were trying to do as well!” He argued.
“This is what EVERYONE is doing. We are COMPETING! You took this way, way too far. You're actually killing people. Destroying them. Familiarization is the punishment for a reason. It is meant to keep the person safe while providing real stakes to losing or breaking the rules.” He panted. The Elf looked to almost be at the point of shedding tears.
“How many are legitimately gone because of you?”
You glanced towards a few of the Serane's, but refused to feel guilt. “Jace continuously said that he was going to take his familiars with him. He'd find a way.”
“He's FUCKING with you! He is riling you up. That is what he does. It puts you off balance. You should have just joined, you idiot...”
“Joined and become his version of that?” You pointed back to Charli.
The Elf stared up blankly. “You think he would do that?” You nodded.
“Then how do you explain MY existence?”
“Huh?”
“Not only am I basically a girl I all but name... Haha, Elves are feminine, right? I actually do prefer men. I am literally the perfect candidate but he has left me alone. Why?” You shook your head. Before you could open your mouth to speak the elf continued.
“You are deranged, power mad, and extremely out of line. You need to stop before you reach a severe point of no return.” He saw that he was losing you, so he closed his eyes and tried to steady his fearful breathing.
“I am not saying you need to surrender to Jace, because that is obviously off the table. What I am saying is, you need to take a step back and consider why you are doing this... I'm really, really sorry your mentor got familiarized. If you allow me to negotiate and promise to back down form this path I promise I will talk to Jace and there is a good chance that he will free her and we can all walk away from this. I will work with you to try and help the people you've already harmed and... And we can go back to the way the school was.” He stared up at you pleadingly. It was almost sad.
“Huh...” You reached forward and touched his shaking lip, then pulled at it playfully. The feminine elf blushed deeply, averting his gaze.
“P-please.” He begged.

That's not necessarily out of the question. Sometimes if there is a tie (They are pretty close) I'll incorporate both and this is one of the times where it might work.
