SA: The Game - Build 0.1.9 - MAR/19

***   DOWNOAD LINK: S-A The Game Build 0.1.9 (MAR 2019)  ***

 Hello my friends! Here's the new update for the game, build 0.1.9 for March 2019.

 Unfortunately, if you have played the last build (0.1.8), I would suggest you to skip this one, here's why:

 My idea for this build was to add a new Encounter featuring 2B, but many Patrons have been asking me to re-introduce Korra's booth, so I decide to do it instead.
But to do so, I need to advance the main story line of the game, and for that, I need to fix and finish many progression systems, like upgrades, clients, rewards progression, collectibles, etc... the boring stuff.

 So, even tho I put in a lot of work on the game this month, most of it is in the coding, no fancy new artwork to show in this build I'm afraid =/ I know it is kind of a bummer, but unfortunately these stuff need to be done in order to have a proper progression in the game, its the basis where all the cool stuff is build on.

 But don't worry, this month I manage to get most of the progression systems done, so you can expect a more artwork heavy update for April.

In any case, here's the list of stuff I've worked this month, feel free to check it out in the game if you find these more systemic parts of the development interesting.

Build 0.1.9 - Mar 2019 additions:

SA WORLD AREAS

V.I.P. clients codex and Progress system
- The game now keeps track of how many VIP clients you have encountered during the Booth game play. It updates the VIP clients codex, and unlocks new paintings for each new VIP unlocked.  ("Your Room" area)

Paintings Gallery progression
- The Paintings gallery now have a lot more paintings to unlock, the progression is linked to the VIP client codex completion, the more VIP clients unlocked, the more paintings available to decorate your room and view on the gallery. The UI was also reworked a bit.  ("Your Room" area)

Cheats
- To facilitate debugging and progression testing, I've add a few "cheats" to the Options menu, at the moment you can add +1000 currency and unlock all VIPs. ("Options" screen)

Encounters progression pacing
- Now the game limits the encounters to only one per day. if you participate in an encounter, you will have to sleep, start a new day and work on the booth to be able to participate on the next encounter, this will create a better pacing for Encounters part of the game. (All SA areas)

BOOTH GAME-PLAY AREA

Clients Requests and items
- Clients are now selected systematically based on player progression, more upgrades mean progressively better clients, better clients ask for more items, give bigger rewards and consume less stamina,
- The game now keep track of what items are unlocked to tailor the clients requests accordingly, the client wont ask for items you haven't unlocked yet.
- The item requests are build dynamically depending on the level of the client, better clients have higher chance to ask for more items, creating a more varied combination of items.
- The "Towel" item if now functional, use it to clean the subject when requested.
- The Regular, Rare and Epic clients now have randomly selected appearance, phrase and name, this will allow for less repetition on the clients visuals.

Client Rewards
- Rewards are now calculated dynamically, the game checks:
* Client tier.
* Amount of items.
* Item upgraded or not.
* Player Mistake (forgetting to add a item, leaving an unrequested item, etc.).
* Correct use of requested "assist items" (Whip/vibrator).
* BJ Special.
And calculate the rewards accordingly.

BJ Special
- The "BJ Special" is now functional, the actual BJ mini-game isn't done, there's a few animations and sounds missing as well, but the game now recognizes when the player actives the BJ special and calculate the rewards accordingly.

Bonus Bars
- The Credits and Influence bonus bars were simplified to just one main green Bonus Bar, having two different bonus system is redundant and over-complicate the reward system unnecessarily.

Shift Complete Screen
- The Shift Complete screen was reworked a bit to make it easier to understand.

*** Coming next ***

Next month I will star to add the more visual elements that are missing on the booth mechanics and game progression. I probably not gonna be able to do all of these next month, but the list of items to be done is:

- More visuals for the clients avatars.
- Female body for the booth animation.
- Cream-pie animation.
- More c*m animations and splatter.
- Finish the BJ animations,  c*mshot, sound effects and mini-game mechanics.
- Finish the Powergirl Quest "New Friends".
- Finally re-implement the Korra booth.

And that's all for now! Sorry for the boring (if necessary) update this month, April's content will be more exciting, I promise ^^
Hope you like the new build and thanks for the support my friends!

Comments

Thanks for the comment, I will be dressing the tutorials and instructions again later on, I will make them easier to understand and more clear. Oh, and the SA101 file should be working normally on the new build.

Sabu

it was removed for a bit while i worked on some stuff on that area, it is back again on the more recent build.

Sabu

To remove items you need to hold Ctrl and click on the outline of the objects that appear on the table, I will add a fixed tutorial in the game later on.

Sabu

The other characters aren't implemented yet, I'm still finishing some booth mechanics before adding more characters.

Sabu

Does anyone know how to unlock other characters other than power girl? I've been stuck on her and it's like day 8 in the game.

jj ronfish

You remove items by holding CTRL and clicking on the item (where you picked it up. not on PG). :)

SteveA

I might have glossed over how to remove items from the girls. Can anyone help me out? Or can I review the tutorial somewhere?

Hey there Orange! Thanks very much for the detailed feedback, it is really appreciated! The mouse to keyboard mode shifting its a thing indeed, I will rework it later on to make things more cohesive, thanks for pointing that out! Same with the tutorials and BJ activator, it really needs some more visible indicator, I will work on it as well. As for the unlocking progression, I'm still gonna work on it, right now I just implemented the mechanics, the final prices and progression aren't though ou yet. As for the preventing grinding, I'm still deciding about it, I have a few ideas for how to solve this problem, maybe making "complete" booths only available for "free-play", or making them available but reducing drastically the rewards, I'm not sure yet, but I do have this problem in mind ^^ Thanks for the support and feedback my friend!

Sabu

Did something happen with the background music and PG's Muffled moans in the Arcade Booth ?

I just came back and I'm finding the like of instruction to be annoying currently. As Orangespork pointed out, activating Blowjob mode isn't explained and moreover, I seem to not understand how to remove items after they are in use. I click on them to drag away but nothing every happens. Also quick edit, the SA 101 file seems to no longer function.

Played previous versions, but took a more serious look at it this time. Mini-review: Great artwork and UI. Very, very impressive. Fabulous worldbuilding, actually makes for a cohesive setting that should organically drive gameplay without feeling forced. This has all the foundations to make a great kinky management game, really looking forward to see where it goes. Feedback: Minor UI quality of life suggestions: some awkward mouse to keyboard mode shifting going on. Notably the opening menu and intro needing (and the encounter text) needing space to proceed; also on some screens, especially the computer in the living room, needing right and left arrows to page and ESC to close, and there's even what look like clickable buttons underneath. Additional UI note: The activator for the BJ mode isn't that obvious. I actually thought you were supposed to click on the client heart that appears (in my defense they are right next to each other) and took me a bit to figure out why nothing was happening. Oh, one more, is how to tell the tiers of VIPs apart shown anywhere? You can kind of guess once you see some but that could be clearer. On the game systems side, the unlocking rewards get a bit silly. Unlocking the booth items increases item usage (multiplying base rewards), uses less energy allowing for more customers (multiplying again) and fills the bonus bar faster (which multiplies again). So triple multiplicative stacking. With nothing you make ~200 cash, with everything unlocked that jumps to ~2000. All booth unlocks cost about, 2500? So you can almost get everything in one shift and everything with plenty to spare in two. To be fair we haven't seen any of the resource sinks except for a couple of flat point IP spends on encounters and one minor purchase for one of the encounters but factor 10 for the full difference seems to be a bit much, and the multiplicative stacking makes the curve really aggressive. Going from 0-50% unlocked does very little (I think it was about 300-350 at 40%) whereas going from 50-80% is huge and the last 20% basically equals the previous gains again. Flattening that curve would make the earlier unlocks more meaningful and the later ones less breaking. On that note, I'm curious what's intended to prevent simply grinding (pun intended) a fully unlocked subject till you have enough cash to fully buy out all the upgrades for the next, making the unlock system a bit meaningless. I'd suggest a timer on how long you get with each subject (and can think of some ways to make that lore logical), but not sure how serious (or stat nutty) the game is intended to be.

And im looking forward to the next update, it look so juicy!
