I don't think dominance is male or masculine. On the contrary I think female dominance has always existed, in every society since the dawn of time, and has at times shaped history when women overpowered and influenced their husbands (Theodora, Wu Zetian). So many romantic relationships between men and women are clearly female led relationships, even if the people in them don't call them that. I grew up seeing that most of my friends lived in a household that was female led. And at the very basis of it all, evolution is driven by female choice. Females in general are more selective, which I would say often creates a power dynamic in favor of female power. I wouldn't call dominance masculine or feminine, I would call it a primate behavior, that you see in most primates. I'm thinking about dominance in more of a general way, not at the sexual level. But as a dominant female, who is dominant in several ways, including sexual, I really dislike when people tell me my behaviors are masculine. They're not masculine. It's normal for women to enjoy having power, influence and to like commanding someone during sex. Just some thoughts, because I'm also writing a mini-essay about Femdom existing since the dawn of time.
