Personally, I am ok with temporary companions for a quest or area maybe, but long-term companions might complicate development. Especially if you are looking to have as many game over or TFs as possible like it seems is the aim. You might have to account for each companion and with variations on party composition and such. Plus, with how sexual the world is, it kind of makes sense to keep Micah alone than having companions awkwardly stepping out the door so he can have sexy times.
