AMA Stream This Sunday

Hi friends,

I've pulled myself together. If you're wondering what the fuss is about, here are two Twitter threads I wrote about it:

https://twitter.com/ContraPoints/status/936055501204357120

https://twitter.com/ContraPoints/status/936082727346036736

If you don't care about any of this, I congratulate you on being very sensible.

Either way, I'm going to do the "November" AMA stream this Sunday at 9pm ET. If you can't make the stream, it will be archived and posted here as usual. $10+ folks will get the question invite post here shortly.

Looking forward to chatting!

P.S. If any of you happen to be in the Washington, DC area: I'll be doing a screening of a couple of my videos and an audience Q&A at George Washington University this Monday (December 3) . The event is hosted by a campus LGBT+ group and is open to the public. If any of you can make it I'd love to see you there! The event runs 7-8:30pm. We can probably grab a drink or something afterward too! Here's the location:

Room 209, 2127 G St NW, Washington, DC 20052

Did any of them use to lean more towards the left, if so why do they not any more?

I have a question for both the panel and the audience (show of hands sort of thing)

you should do a discussion stream with Tobi Hill-Meyer

What's good Nat, hope you're feeling well and loving the channel as always. Seen anything good at the movies lately?

Ruth Knapman

Im constantly amazed by your integrity and self-awareness. I don’t think there are many creators out there who are more thoughtful or deliberate than you. I wish more ppl could learn from your example. Take care of yourself and know that despite what others may say your work matters!

Carlisle Huntington

Be good to yourself, Natalie. Your health and wellness are what's most important. Also, I don't know if it's possible to edit the post, but Monday is the 4th. I can't attend, but I wouldn't want anyone to miss out because they read the date wrong. Although I guess they could just show up on the third and find out they're super early.

I haven't been following you or your material for very long but I'm glad my first post I saw on here was that you're feeling better after a rough time and doing awesome things <3

Just read those threads... bloody hell. Real prouda you. That's an important step to take, I can't imagine what it would be like to have an intimate relationship with what is basically a huge amount of different personalities. I'm sorry to hear it was causing you that much heartbreak. Now get out there and adopt some kitties!

Alex

Happy to hear that you're better :) Finding the right balance between privacy and online persona IS a challenge, and privacy is much more important. Of course you know that a sizeable number of your followers understand that the "relationship" with you can only ever be reciprocal to a very small degree. But the people who don't understand... yeah! I can see that that hurts!

Glad you’re feeling better. I read those threads earlier and both great, but the second was painful to read and I’m sorry you had to go through that. But it sounds like you have the right idea about how to go forward. Social media life and real life can be a tricky balance, but social media I don’t think can ever be anything close to what we need from enrichment and action and friends and loved ones in our actual lives. You be a’ight, though, I have faith in you.

Sherry Lossner

I wasn't sure if you were still going to be engaging with your patrons since you've been taking a step back but I'm glad that you're feeling better, I hope to be able to watch and that your mental health continues to improve! <3
