Bad End Tunnel

Lila and Mia were exploring a newly discovered underwater cave system. But when they tried to leave, the entrance collapsed and disappeared under tons of rocks right in front of them. Lila led Mia to try to escape through some of the tunnels in the cave's ceiling instead, hoping one would lead to the surface. After trying two tunnels that didn't go anywhere, they got stuck wedged between rocks and pressed against one another in the third one under hanging seaweed not far above. Despair setting in and her air spewing wastefully from her mouth, Lila desperately tries to tear and pull the seaweed down hoping it would lead them to the surface above. Mia, who was at her limit, dared not to show her face to Lila. Instead, she pursed her quivering lips and held back her tears, and calmly yet firmly hugged her struggling friend tightly while feeling her own chest heave with growing insitency… Inevitably, they became lifelessly still: the last of their air trickled past their lips after water had flooded their lungs.
