I'm sure the grand vizier wasn't too happy about the whole thing, given the effort needed to cover it up from the public (who likely saw Clara walking to Blacktail with a man squirming in her gut). Esse likely found the whole thing amusing, while Clara has to deal with being feared even more than before.
