So the way this works is that if a parent was born in the shrinking nation, their children have a chance at inheriting size shifting abilities. Most often only the ability to self-shrink, but sometimes the ability to shrink others also manifests. Now as successive children are had, the chances increase for them to have this. Usually the first born has the lowest chance.
So in this scenario, we see a couple of first borns, Bianca and Joshua, both of whom have younger siblings who have become stuck at tiny sizes as a result of inheriting shrinking abilities!
Josh is happy to help his girlfriend fix her puny pest problem! As he dealt with a similar situation a few years back!
