"Toetally Flat" a short story

Sanjana walked in from the heat. The brisk burst of cool conditioned air was a welcome relief to her warm skin. Clad in comfortable pants, a sleeveless button up top, and an old pair of flats, she wasn't dressed inappropriately given the weather, but that didn't help the sweat she had built up. At this point, each step that she took came with a slight squelching sound, thanks to the pools of sweat her feet had created.
The tall thin young woman plopped onto the floor, leaning back against the sofa. Glancing over at the bathroom, she considered taking a shower, but frowned at the thought. It would be her second shower in the last six hours, as she had taken one at the gym earlier in the day. With a sigh she decided to perish the thought and simply wait a bit longer, as she knew she'd have to go back out later in the day.
Sanjana stared at the ceiling absentmindedly for a bit, taking notice at how quiet the apartment was. Marissa clearly wasn't home then. Probably at work, she thought.
A miniscule pinching sensation under the arch of her right foot drew her attention.
"Hm?β
"Oh yeah." She nodded slightly as she remembered about the two unfortunate souls she had been wearing beneath her soles.
Removing her beautiful brown foot from it's shoe revealed a tiny blonde young woman. The poor thing was barely an inch tall, and was drenched in Sanjana's foot sweat. Her eyes, dry and red from crying, gazed up meekly at her captor. Sanjana's large dark eyes stared back down at her. She was surprised to only find this blonde woman and no one else.
"Hey, weren't there two of you in-"
Sanjana cut her sentence short as her eyes focused on a faint red smudge in the heel section of her flat. She quickly deduced what happened.
"Oh great. The stupid cunt popped."
The diminutive blonde could muster no further tears as the god-like brunette before her commented so casually on the death of her friend.
"I'm pretty sure I told both you and her to avoid my heel. Am I wrong?"
The tiny woman shook her head rapidly to differentiate clearly from her fear induced trembles.
"That's what I thought."
Sanjana ran a hand across the sole of her foot, strumming her fingers across the sea of wave like wrinkles.
Her long fingers lingered around her heel, lightly gliding over what seemed to be the squashed corpse of the other tiny woman. The dampness of her sweaty sole made it difficult to differentiate between the tiny squelched form and the rest of her heel.
"No wonder I didn't feel her break, my feet were sweaty as fuck already. I'm kinda surprised your ass didn't drown now that I think of it."
Thinking back to a moment ago, Sanjana's eyes narrowed at the puny survivor.
"Wait, just a second ago, did you fucking bite me?β
The tiny woman dropped onto her back, the weight of Sanjana's gaze felt as if it had already crushed her.
"You did, didn't you? You little bitch!β
Sanjana raised her foot above the mouth of the shoe, casting a dripping shadow over the minute woman. The blonde couldn't even muster a proper scream as a drop of sweat crashed and burst onto her face.
The foot began to lower. It seemed as if the heel of Sanjana's foot would land right atop the tiny blonde and mash her into the arch section of the flat. However, instead of following along that path, the giant ped halted in place.
The heel of Sanjana's foot was close enough that the squashed smear upon it was centimeters away the puny woman's face.
"Well, since you're alive, for now that is, you can make yourself useful by cleaning this bitch off."
The woman was still frozen in fear.
Sanjana glared down again.
"That means get to work, bug. Don't make me say it again."
As if being slapped into consciousness, the blind immediately sprung up at the sound of that threat. She began clawing at the giant woman's powerful heel, prying out the flattened fragments of her former shoe-mate.
"That's better, though don't think you're safe yet. If you don't do a good job, there'll be someone scraping you off before the sun sets."
Sanjana laid back again, flexing her toes as the pathetic figure at her feet continued working frantically.
Staring at the ceiling again, she began to shut her eyes. Before long, she was asleep.
In her sleep, Sanjana shifted her feet and legs around, attempting to achieve a more comfortable position.
In the process she ended up kicking her flat a small distance aways, and by extension, sending the tiny inhabitant spiraling out of said flat and crashing on to the floor.
With her body badly damaged by the intense and unexpected movement, the little woman struggled to maintain consciousness.
It was all she could do to stay awake, but she realized quickly that she couldn't move a single muscle in her body.
Staring up at the ceiling for what seemed like forever, she began to lose sense of both time and soon of sound as well. An intense ringing instead persisted in her head.
Suddenly, a shape appeared above her, blocking out the ceiling. It raised higher into the air momentarily, seemingly getting smaller as it rose, then came flying forward, filling her vision as it crashed down onto her pulverising her body.
*CRUNCH*
Sanjana had stepped on the tiny woman.
She raised her heel, allowing all of her weight to press down onto the bug-sized blonde. The miniscule cracks and snaps emerging from between her foot and the floor were far too shallow to reach Sanjana's ears. She then twisted her flat clad foot from side to side, quickly grinding out what little life remained beneath her.
"I fall asleep for just a second and that bitch thinks she can run away...where do these bugs get off thinking like that?" She thought to herself.
Sanjana swiped her foot back, smearing the already formless splatter even further.
The beautiful brown young woman plopped down on the couch behind her, and propped up her feet on the ottoman. Upon the sole of her right flat was a barely visible red smudge, a matching counterpart smashed into the hardwood floor a few feet away from her.
She reached for the remote and began to flip through channels on the TV, immediately forgetting about the insignificant life she had just pressed flat into the ground.
