Why is the ponytail so popular? ポニーテールの人気の理由は何？
Added 2024-10-23 02:19:19 +0000 UTCThank you all for participating in the previous poll! I was a bit surprised to see how overwhelmingly popular the ponytail was. There were many comments supporting the ponytail, and I could really feel how much everyone loves it.
Personally, I love ponytails too, so when I was designing this, I was already leaning towards a ponytail — so it turned out to be a win-win!
But why is the ponytail so popular? I think one big reason could be the influence of Kämpfer. I mentioned the same thing on Discord, but even though Kämpfer is an older anime that aired in 2009, fan art of it is still being created regularly. It remains a popular series among TSF fans.
I still love Natsuru’s look and the transformation scenes from the show, and to be honest, Kämpfer had a big influence on me wanting to create magical girls as well.
I'll be taking the results of this poll into consideration as I work on the next designs!

実は、私自身もポニーテールが大好きで、今回のデザインを作るときに「ポニーテールにしようかな」と思っていたので、結果的にWin-Winな形になりました！
それにしても、なぜこれほどまでにポニーテールが人気なのでしょうか？私が思うに、『けんぷファー』という作品の影響も大きいのではないでしょうか。Discordでも同じことを書きましたが、けんぷファーは2009年に放送されたアニメにも関わらず、今でもファンアートが定期的に見られるほど、TSF好きの人たちの間で根強い人気がある作品です。
私もナツルの外見や変身シーンが今でも好きですし、実際、私が魔法少女を作りたいと思うきっかけも、この作品の影響が大きいと感じています。
今回のアンケート結果を参考にしつつ、次のデザインにも取り入れていきたいと思います。
