Star-Nose - Large Beast, Unaligned
Added 2022-08-18 19:03:35 +0000 UTCStar-noses are massive, eyeless, subterranean predators that hunt the depths of the earth for other burrowing creatures. Occasionally their prey includes the beasts and humanoids that dwell in caverns or along the surface of their hunting grounds. Using the hyper-sensitive tendrils that extend from its snout, the star-nose can detect the subtlest tremors and seismic waves in the soil around them. Mysteriously, this organ can also sense the presence and direction of nearby magic. Star-noses can be trained to emit a squeak when they’ve detected an arcane ore deposit or a buried magical treasure in exchange for a juicy porpoise grub.
The Star-Nose is one of the core creatures that comprise the Way of the Sunken Path faction (and subclass). We'll be dropping another creature soon to continue filling out the faction's roster, so stay tuned!
