While this axe is on your person, you cannot be surprised, except when you are incapacitated. Additionally, you have advantage on opportunity attacks made with this axe. When a hostile creature that you can see moves out of the axe’s normal throwing range (handaxe only), you can use your reaction to make a special opportunity attack and throw the axe at the creature. The attack occurs right before the creature leaves the axe’s normal range.
Whittled from branches of the weirdwood tree, these weapons bestow uncanny awareness upon the wielder. The eyes that sprout from its handle spin wildly, eerily and unblinkingly attentive to their surroundings.
