Armor (plate or half plate), rare
This full suit of armor is fashioned from the shell of a mighty crab. While wearing this armor, you have a swimming speed of 20 feet and you cannot be moved against your will. Additionally, this armor doesn't impose disadvantage on your Dexterity (Stealth) checks while you are underwater.
Donning this armor adheres it to your skin, becoming a chitinous exoskeleton. You gain the full benefits of a long rest while sleeping in this armor. This armor can only be doffed with an action if you are submerged in boiling water.
Amplified. This armor is a piece of the Crab Lord set. The carapace gains the following attributes while used with other Crab Lord set pieces:
- You have a +1 bonus to AC and your swimming speed is now equal to your walking speed while wearing this armor, if you are also wearing the Chitinous Crown.
- If you are grappled by a Large or smaller creature while you are also wearing the Dread Pincer, your speed is reduced to 10 instead of 0, and you take the grappler with you when you move.
