The movie just covers part of Season 1, but it shows him at the beginning before he goes into Ygdrassil. This is an extra scene they added just for the movie. (There is also an Overlord feature film that covers all new content and isn't a compilation, but that isn't the one I mean. You shouldn't watch that one until half-way through Season 4.)
