For context raditz was originally gonna be final villian of DB because Akira likes using kids for adventures in his manga. Z was gonna be more Gohan focused by fans hated that. I think Oda saying he doesn’t bring dead characters back is because akira tried to kill off goku a few times and fans wanted him to be brought back each time.

The trunks special after namek before anything. M5-6 during first androids. M7 after dende is brought to earth. M-8 right before the cell games. M9 after cell games. M10 after videl hair cut. M11 is crimes against humanity level crap but you can watch immediately after M10. M12 after SSJ3 goku vs fat buu. M13 after the buu saga. The movies aren’t canon but to mirror events in the show like when people are dead or power ups occurred that’s the most in order way to watch. Definitely due trunks before he appears in Z and bardock before the goku freeza fight the specials are canon they aren’t considered movies.

I can't believe it's already been nearly a full year. Thinking about Toriyama's passing still makes me tear up. He really created one of the greatest stories ever and I can't imagine my life without Dragon Ball. Being able to experience this with you has been so special, and I really appreciate how much you seem to be enjoying it as well. Thank you Brago.

2025-02-19 19:36:30 +0000 UTCI remember being a bit confused the first time. Up to this point though we hadn't seen Goku was able to fly. However he learned to during the training. That's how he got away from the blast. He couldn't run, get up etc. Watched Z first, like most in the west, so I didn't realize it was him being capable of flying for the first time since I was so used to it in Z
