Illustration Support Pack #23

The download ZIP file containing these images can be found attached to this post, so there will be no Tier Reward Post or separate download URL, but I will add the link to the Master Map Lists.

I am pleased to bring you another Illustration Support Pack, which includes [8] item illustrations, [9] landscape scenes and [8] NPC Portraits & Tokens.

Item Illustrations

This month's item illustrations were built with the recent Map Packs for White Plume Mountain and the Celestial Gods Constellation map in mind. They include [5] Holy Symbols to correspond with some of the constellation PNG's included in the pack, as well as the famous sentient weapons from White Plume Mountain - Wave, Whelm and Blackrazor.

The item illustrations were done by Steven Bell.

In ADDITION to the illustrations of Blackrazor, Wave & Whelm, I also had [3] PNG assets created for the sentient weapons for you to layer in your maps. Assets by John Ric Deto-on.

I particularly enjoyed Blackrazor, a Very Rare Sentient Weapon that requires attunement.

Blackrazor's blade is dark as the night sky and sparkles with the stars of alien constellations. The chill of the endless void emanates from Blackrazor, and those who stare into its blade too long get the eerie feeling that the stars within are slowly drifting closer.

It has the following properties:

1. +3 Chaotic Neutral Greatsword - Purpose: To devour souls

2. Any Lawful character attempting to wield Blackrazor takes 15 damage and is stunned for 1-4 rounds. Thereafter, the character has a severe aversion to BR and all rolls (combat and checks) are at disadvantage while BR is within sight. Characters/creatures can use an action each round to make a Con save to end the effect.

3. Critical: +3d6 necrotic damage, user gains HP equal to necrotic damage roll.

4. Detect living creatures (souls) 60’. Detection is blocked by 6" of stone/1" of iron.

5. Grants Haste to user 1/day

6. Advantage on saves vs. charm and fear

7. Any creature killed by BR has its soul devoured and cannot be raised by any means.

8. If BR does not feed for 3 days, it will dominate its user and force it to kill.

9. If BR strikes a negative energy being, user loses 3d6 HP and save (Con:15) or stunned for 1-4 rounds.

This month's portrait and token illustrations were done with the White Plume Mountain map pack and module in mind, featuring most of the named NPC's encountered in the adventure. These can be used for the adventure itself, but can also very easily feature in any of your homebrew content, as most of them are very common archetypes.
