Illustration Support Pack #22

I am pleased to bring you another Illustration Support Pack, which includes [12] item illustrations, [4] landscape scenes and [8] NPC Portraits & Tokens.

Item Illustrations

This month's item illustrations were built with the recent Ninja Caves & Jade Village maps in mind, supporting a variety of cool armor, weapons and items for the ninja there to carry out their missions. Whether the party encounters the ninja out in the world, or here in the village, having some fun artifacts can be a great way to keep them engaged and excited.

The item illustrations were done by Steven Bell.

I particularly enjoyed the Talisman of Scaled Shadow, a Very Rare, Wondrous Item that does requires attunement.

The talisman is carved from obsidian and fitted with a glittering amethyst carved to depict a dragon's eyes. It is worn by the highest-ranking members of the shadow clan ninja. The Talisman provides the following benefits:

1. Grants resistance to necrotic damage.

2. You can speak Draconic and communicate telepathically (30 ft.) with other attuned shadow items.

3. Once per long rest, you may merge with a shadow, becoming a living shadow for up to 1 minute:

   • Immune to non-magical damage

   • Can move through narrow cracks

   • Can’t speak or interact physically

   • Can see and hear normally

This month's portrait and token illustrations were done with the Jade Village & Ninja Caves map in mind, providing several different village NPC's, ninja warriors and a monk visitor from the Golden Dragon Monastery. These will be used for a one-shot I'm developing using the maps and illustrations we've created for that location.
