The Fates and Their Wills
Added 2024-02-12 18:42:06 +0000 UTCSo I'm going to do something special. I want to add more incentives and ideas without compromising the story too much, so I'm going to offer the choice of something else. Simply put: I really, really want to explore more of the setting without compromising the narrative. I think that general votes on POVs and plot progression takes the story out of my hands a bit too much and makes me a bit uncomfortable in a project I'm taking seriously, but I want to offer an alternative. Similar to Grimlewd for those with taste, I want to make a few character-excerpts that may or may not ever tie into the story, but help to expand the world in unique ways and let me stretch my legs away from Raika here and there. I might do these polls once a week, maybe once every two weeks, but... that's the plan! If you guys would rather something else or think it's a terrible idea, don't be afraid to comment, criticism is always welcome but especially when it's helpful.
So! Without further ado! Let's looksee what kinda goodies we have in store!

Last time I did it ended up a bit chaotic, but yeah I think that’s a good idea for this one since it’s broader. Let me check to see if I can allow multiple choice

2024-02-12 19:31:19 +0000 UTCI'm torn between a couple of these. I really like the idea of the Nameless Serpent because I feel like it will give us some insight into potential ways things could go for Raika as she grows and advances, but Ka Yarel seems really neat due to the fact we'd learn more about the Empire's more inner workings and dangerous endeavors plus the Daemon Engines seem along the lines of what those Cold Sun fragment beings were and a different perspective on them could also be enlightening. I like the choices we've been given, I think all are good from narrative sense: Nikki being a unique perspective on other humanoid beings that aren't standard, Samhaik being a fight for survival and glory, Jin Lao showing the depths of the Empire's distain as its a focus on what they'd *pacify*, and Wandering Fang because Raika had quite an experience with the Spirit Beasts last time and it might also give potential glimpses at how Maen could develop. Hopefully we get to explore all of them eventually
