NEW VIDEO - The Schneidecker Paradox!

EDIT: Updated with final, public link.

Hey all!

Here's the early access version of the latest video, on Rob Schneider's comedy vs Tim Heidecker's comedy. Still have a few things to do (clean up the audio, fix little bugs here and there) but the content is pretty much locked. This is a VERY different video from my last one in tone--less serious, and way more silly. I'm excited to hear what you think!

As always, thank you for your support! This is the kind of video I couldn't make anywhere else!

Joined the patron because of this video. Excited to see more.

Thank you for the killer line: "Terror of the World changing beyond one's comprehension"! I never knew before why I felt Rob Schneider to be so sleazy after having seen a few of his movies. Now I do. The other guy I didn't know before. Lately I have been thinking a lot about the rise of fascism in the 30s and have tried to write about the similarities in our time in Europe. "Terror of the change" is a key insight I'm going to use, thank you very much again. Fascism is a big word to throw around – as is racism – but in the end it might be all about fear of change, growth and re-evaluation. Glad to see you come back so strongly. Not that you were ever away.

Speaking of Jamie Kennedy, the actors from that Roe V Wade anti abortion cartoon still haven’t gotten paid.

That was a fantastic video. It's nice to see a fresh perspective on Rob Schneider's 'comedy' instead of the usual easy jokes on him. There is a complete lack of self-awareness on his part in regards on what he thinks is edgy comedy and instead comes off unfunny. It's this video and the Some More News videos on 'Cancel Culture' that prove a point because it's not a question of people not being able to take a joke but comedians who miss the mark and then whine about being 'cancelled' when they don't get the laughs they think they are entitled to. It's not 'political correctness' that kills comedy. It's people like Rob Schneider, Adam Carolla, Tim Allen, Steven Crowder, and Jamie Kennedy that kill comedy because they think they're being funny and they're not and then double-down and triple-down on it because they can't think of anything original or they make their money off of 'outrage' (particularly Crowder and Carolla).

Your comment inspired me to change the shot of Ben Shapiro to a shot of Bill Maher!

I really enjoyed this video. Sorry I don't have anything substantive to say. Good job. A.

Robert Kennedy

Reminds me of the time I went to a stand-up show and the comedian turned on the audience. That was an *experience*. (As a mid-westerner, I really appreciated your corn joke)

Duck

Nothing quite like Bill Mahers reaction to not getting laughs.

I've been thinking lately about this kind of thing too, though from the aspect of one comedian but different audiences. (Or it could be two comedians with the same joke, but what I'm looking at is the audience perception.) So let's say you've got a joke that is sexist, racist, whatever. But it's a ridiculously over-the-top joke. That SHOULD be perceived by the audience as satirical - the butt of the joke is not the minority mentioned in the joke, but rather the person telling the joke. However, if not played right, or if indeed you just have an audience with terrible people, the response won't be "hey yeah, racists are dumb" but rather "heck yeah you tell 'em buddy it's so true." Anyway, I don't know if I have anything really meaningful to add, I just wanted to say that I really like this video and it's giving me another angle to look at this kind of situation. So thank you.

I can really use some silly.
