Hi all! Here's the patron version of the hour-long Cats video, where I talk a bunch about TS Eliot, who wrote the poetry that Cats is based on. We still have a few things to work on, including: color correction, final sound mix, adding chapter breaks, dropping in a few more sound clips read by friends, and tweaking a few other things. Mostly I'm wondering if any of it is confusing, so let me know if anything doesn't make sense.

I don't know if Orwell meant it, but the entire novel was an indictment against any form of authority and a plea for horizontal hierarchy. Overthrow the system, but don't just replace it with the same thing under a different name/slogan. Written in the 1940s, so probably NOT that, but...it reads that way today. Orwell > Elliot, still

2020-03-22 18:47:42 +0000 UTCI've been wondering why something like CATS 2019, ugly CGI and all, was made. But, after seeing this video, I think I got it. What better way to say "Fuck T.S. Eliot" than by taking this, most likely Eliot's most popular work, and making it perverse with CGI Cat people.
