Milestone!!! What should we do?
Added 2019-10-15 18:56:12 +0000 UTCHey friends and family! (Of the parasocial kind, mind you)
I recently hit a Patreon milestone which is INCREDIBLE. It's helped me move almost full time over to making deep but fun but deep videos for yall, and it's helped me become a better writer and close reader as I go. I'm so honored and I'm happy yall are happy, and I'm so excited for what I have up my sleeve!
The original milestone was a 12-hour stream marathon, but I'm not sure how many people are actually into that idea (I wrote that very early on in my Patreon-ness.)
So I wanted to ask you, what special content would you like to see for my first milestone? We can do an AMA livestream and put Patreon questions first every month, I can do a Patreon-only close reading of a weird movie live, I can stream a video game for yall, I'd love to hear what you guys would want to see!
Comment below to tell me what you'd like to see!
Upcoming video preview (subject to change:)
-Final Christian "Saving Christmas" Essay
-CATS and Fascism (this one is gonna be a HOOT!)
-Looking back at the Rush Limbaugh Show
-Bohemian Rhapsody and the Modern Unreliable Narrator

Congrats on your milestone! I think your content is great, but to be honest, I'm a patron to provide (predictable and basically unconditional) support for what you're already doing and don't expect success to mean you should have to work even *harder*. If anything, you deserve a bit of a break for getting this far; I don't want you to get burnt out! However, if you really want suggestions, one thing I think would be interesting (and hopefully less work than a true crossover) would be a response video to one of the other creators you enjoy but with whom you have a considerably different take on a particular topic. For example, I found https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ytoUuO-qvg vs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsorTiaDlrw to be really fascinating. Perhaps you could do a similar response to a video from someone like Lindsay Ellis, FilmJoy, Folding Ideas, or some other creator you like.

2019-10-15 20:01:43 +0000 UTCI mean, the dadaist in me is screaming "Streaming your attempt to purchase and learn to play 'Another One Bites the Dust' on an ocarina while cosplaying as a hybrid Link-Freddie Mercury", but from a practical/reasonable standpoint, it would be fun to see you sort of freestyle a deep dive into some obscure work of art you just personally love (or maybe even hate just a little).

2019-10-15 19:18:45 +0000 UTCOo that'd be fun!! Haha yeah I've actually done one before, but they are A LOT and I don't think viewers get any more out of it than a shorter stream haha.

2019-10-15 19:18:17 +0000 UTCA 12-hour stream?! Sheesh. At least it seems you've thankfully backed away from that idea. What about a crossover episode?
2019-10-15 19:15:22 +0000 UTCHi Maggie. How about a live State Of The Apocalypse (working title) on how the cultural world has changed good or bad since you started? Predictions to come, reviewed each year...
