Since a BIG part of the video covers Star Wars, I figured I'd post this essay I wrote about Rey's parentage a while back, for anyone who hadn't seen or read it yet. We touch briefly on Rey in the video (the vast majority of the Star Wars stuff in the video concerns Luke, specifically), so this essay fills out my thoughts on her.
Also, I'm starting a podcast! It's called My Top 8 and it's about friendship: what do you look for in a friend? What makes a good friend? What's a time you've been a bad friend? I'll have a different comedian or friend on each week to talk about it. It's pretty weird how little we discuss friendship. So much emphasis on romantic love, but not on what makes a good friend. So let's fix that!
